This no churn ice cream is the easiest ice cream I have ever made, and it is also so yummy. It is simple and only requires 4 ingredients. My kids had an absolute blast creating Sundaes with several different topping choices. Our favorites were peanut butter cups and crushed Butterfingers.

Servings: 6 bowls of ice cream

Cook Time: 15 minutes to prep, plus 6 hours to overnight in the freezer

What's the difference between 6 hours or overnight freeze time?

It depends on your preference, but the longer you wait, the harder the ice cream will become. The ice cream will melt quicker & be softer with only a 6 hour freeze time.

Ingredients for No Churn Ice Cream:

  • 1 (14 oz) can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups of heavy whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • pinch of salt
  • Either a stand mixer or hand mixer
  • Ice cream tub (I will link the one I use at the bottom)

How to make it:

  1. In a large bowl, mix the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla and salt. Stir & set aside.
  2. In another bowl or in the stand mixer, add 2 cups of heavy cream and mix with mixer until stiff peaks form. It should look like whipped cream when you are finished. It took me about 6 to 7 minutes on medium high in my stand mixer to get the desired consistency.
  3. Fold your whipped cream into the sweetened condensed milk mixture. You don’t want to stir heavily here, but do fold it several times to make sure it is mixed together well.
  4. Pour the ice cream into the ice cream tub. Put the lid on and freeze at least 6 hours or overnight. Serve with your favorite toppings. Some of my favorites are sprinkles, crushed up candy bars (Reeses and Butterfinger work awesome here), fudge, caramel, and whipped cream. YUM!!
