Traeger Smoked Pork Butt

“This Smoked Pork Butt cooks low and slow on the Traeger Pellet grill to perfection!”

Ingredients

–bone in pork shoulder (Boston Butt) with fat cap – salt and pepper – dijon mustard – pork butt rub  – brown sugar – salted butter – bbq sauce  – apple cider vinegar, water, and hot sauce

Smoked Pulled Pork

Serves 20-25 people depending on size of pork butt Time to Make: 8-12 hours Skill Level: Easy to Moderate

Sit the pork butt out at room temperature for one hour. Coat with dijon mustard and seasoning.

Prep the Pork

Place in 275 degree smoker.

Spray with vinegar spritz every few hours until internal temp reaches 165 degrees.

Coat with bbq sauce, brown sugar and butter and cover. Smoke until internal temp reaches 203.

Allow to rest at room temp for 1 hour.

Remove bone and using both hands, pull the pork apart into pieces.
