Description

This Gyoza Dipping Sauce is perfect for dunking potstickers, dumplings or even wontons. It comes together with just 4 ingredients in 5 minutes, for the easiest Asian dumpling dipping sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/8 cup rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger, skin removed and grated fine
  • 1 tablespoon green onion, sliced on a bias

Instructions

  1. Remove the skin from the fresh ginger using a knife or a spoon. Grate the fresh ginger on the smallest side of the grater or with a microplane zester. Slice the green onion into thin strips.
  2. Into a bowl, add the soy sauce, grated ginger and rice vinegar and whisk to combine.
  3. Top with green onions.
  4. Serve with potstickers, gyoza, dumplings, wontons, and more! Enjoy.

Notes

  • To grate ginger, you can cut off the skin of the ginger with a knife before grating. To be more resourceful and waste less, use a spoon to scrape off the outside of the ginger skin.
  • While it's not crucial to the dish, I like to cut the green onions on an angle, or a bias for looks. Instead of having your knife perpendicular to the green onion to cut, slice it at a 45 degree angle.
