Description
This Easy Pork Gravy is homemade with Pork Drippings and only takes 10 minutes to make! It's thick, creamy and perfect over pork chops, pork tenderloin, or pork roast.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup pork drippings from pork tenderloin, or pork roast
- 2 tablespoons salted butter
- 2 tablespoon all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chicken stock + additional few tablespoons if needed
- Salt and pepper to taste ( I used, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper)
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large skillet on the stovetop over medium low heat. Sprinkle in the flour and stir together until combined. Continue to cook and stir for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Slowly pour in the pork drippings and stir to combine.
- Pour in chicken stock and stir. Turn heat down to low and cook for a few minutes, stirring frequently. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve the gravy hot and enjoy!
Equipment
Notes
- This recipe requires constant stirring. I suggest using a wooden spoon to avoid scratching your pan.
- Serve the gravy hot to avoid the thick layer of fat you get on top of gravy when it cools. You can allow it to cook on low in the skillet, just make sure to stir it occasionally and you can always add a splash of chicken stock in, if you need it.
