Description

This Chili Oil Ramen is loaded with flavor, made in 10 minutes & all in one pan! Talk about an easy meal. Skip that packaged seasoning and make this spicy garlic ramen instead.

Ingredients

Scale
  • (2) 3 ounce packages of ramen noodles
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 3 cups chicken stock + additional if you like a lot of broth
  • 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon chili oil (depending on your spice preference) *I prefer 1 teaspoon
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon sesame seeds + 1 tablespoon chives or green onions, sliced thin for topping

Instructions

  1. In a deep skillet or pot over medium heat on the stovetop, add the olive oil. Allow it to heat up then add in the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 60 seconds.
  2. Pour in the chicken stock and add in the ramen noodles. Cover and cook for 7 minutes, flipping the noodles half way through.
  3. Pour in the soy sauce and 1 teaspoon chili oil. Toss with tongs to combine.
  4. Add in more chili oil if desired. Serve and top with sesame seeds, and green onion. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Only toast the garlic for about 60 seconds, then add the chicken stock to avoid the garlic burning and a bitter flavor.
  • Don't overcook the ramen noodles.
