Description

This Strawberry Banana Smoothie Bowl makes the perfect breakfast. It's packed with fresh fruits and protein. Save time and money by making these berry bowls at home in 10 minutes!

Ingredients

Scale

Smoothie bowl base:

  • 1.5 cups of frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 banana, frozen preferred
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon milk (whole, skim, oat, or almond milk)
  • 1/8 cup greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter

Smoothie bowl toppings:

  • 1/2 fresh banana, cut into thin slices
  • 6 to 8 fresh strawberries, stems removed and diced or sliced
  • 1/2 cup of your favorite granola
  • 1/4 cup fresh blueberries

Instructions

  1. Cut up the fresh strawberries and slice the fresh banana for topping. Set aside.
  2. Add frozen strawberries, 1/2 frozen banana, milk, greek yogurt, almond butter, and honey into the blender. Start it on low and blend, move up to high speed or pulse. Scrape the sides of the blender when needed and continue to blend until fully combined.
  3. Pour the smoothie base into a bowl. Add the diced strawberry, blueberry, banana and granola to the top.
  4. Place completed smoothie bowl into the fridge for 10-15 minutes before serving or you can enjoy it right away.

Notes

When blending, be sure to scrape down the sides of the blender to incorporate all of the ingredients.

I like to stick my finished smoothie bowl with the toppings in the freezer for 10 to 15 minutes before enjoying, so it is extra cold and frosty.

If you like a really thick smoothie bowl, freeze the banana ahead of time. You can always add in extra berries to make it thicker too.

Check your teeth when you're done, especially if they are crooked like mine!
