Description

This Garlic Butter Baked Brie with Honey is the perfect Appetizer, ready in just 15 minutes! It is absolutely decadent and so easy to whip up. Savory meets sweet for the ideal pair up in this creamy baked brie recipe.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounce brie round
  • 1 tablespoon salted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, peeled and sliced paper thin
  • 1/8 teaspoon fresh rosemary leaves, chopped fine
  • 1/8 teaspoon of fresh thyme leaves, chopped fine
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Crackers, bread, or veggies to serve with the brie

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Carefully shave the top rind off of the brie round. Don't go too deep or you will remove some of the creamy inside.
  2. Place the Brie round on a cookie sheet lined with tin foil. Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes until the inside is warm and gooey, but it isn't overflowing. Note: It's important to check it during the cooking process. Pull it out immediately if it starts to overflow.
  3. While the brie is baking, melt the butter into a large skillet on the stovetop over medium low heat. Pour in the olive oil. Add in the rosemary, thyme, and garlic and cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally. The garlic should be toasted until golden in color, but not at all brown. Reduce the heat to low if it starts to burn. Immediately transfer to bowl once finished to stop cooking process.
  4. Carefully transfer the gooey brie with a large spatula to a serving dish. Pour the roasted garlic butter and herbs over the top of the creamy brie.
  5. Drizzle the honey over the brie and serve with crackers, bread, or veggies. Enjoy!

Notes

  • It's really important to watch the brie in the oven and pull it out before the creamy brie collapses over the side. It will still be completely edible and delicious, but not as pretty.
  • Do not burn the butter or garlic. Either of these will result in bitter flavors.
