Description

This Green Onion Dip is a creamy 5 minute recipe made from a base of sour cream. It's great for dipping chips and veggies, like cucumbers, bell peppers & more. This Sour Cream and Green Onion dip makes everything way tastier and it's ready in minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 and 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup green onions, thinly sliced on a bias (45 degree angle)
  • 1 large garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 3/4 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Add the sliced green onions, sour cream, lemon juice, hot sauce, garlic, dried parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper to a large bowl. Stir to combine. Optional: Refrigerate for 1 hour to allow flavors to blend.
  2. Pour into a serving dish and top with additional green onions. Serve with chips and vegetables.

Notes

  • When slicing the green onions, cut them on a bias, a 45 degree angle. This creates a more elegant look.
  • Mince the garlic really fine in this recipe, since it is strong in its raw form.
