Fried Pickle Ranch Dip

Description

This Fried Pickle Ranch Dip is creamy, delicious and perfect for the pickle lovers. It combines pickles with ranch seasoning, cream cheese and sour cream and is topped with a crunchy garlic butter panko topping. It's the best game day snack and it only takes 15 minutes to make!


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons salted butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, peeled and minced
  • 1/2 cup Panko Breadcrumbs
  • 4 ounces full fat cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped dill pickles
  • 1 teaspoon fresh dill, stems removed and minced
  • 1 tablespoon dry Ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium low heat. Add in the minced garlic and cook for 60 seconds. Pour in the Panko Breadcrumbs.
  2. Allow the breadcrumbs to toast into a golden brown color, stirring often to avoid burning. Once the panko is toasted, about 3 to 5 minutes, immediately transfer to a plate to stop the cooking process. Set aside.
  3. Add the cream cheese to a stand mixer or large bowl with hand mixer. Beat on medium speed until smooth. Add in the mayonnaise and sour cream and combine on low speed. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed. Toss in the pickle, garlic powder, ranch powder, hot sauce, fresh dill, salt and pepper.
  4. Mix ingredients together on low speed. Cover with plastic wrap and store in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  5. Add the pickle dip to a bowl and top with panko breading. Serve with chips, pretzels, carrots, or celery and enjoy!

Notes

  • Biggest tip is to make sure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature before starting the recipe. Also, whip it really well with the mixer before adding the other ingredients.
  • Really keep a close eye on the panko breading. It takes a minute to start to brown, but it will burn quick.
