Ingredients:
Pickles: The star of the show. Pickles are chopped finely and mixed into the dip for flavor.
Fresh dill: Finely chopped and this fresh herb really enhances the pickle taste.
Sour Cream, Cream Cheese and Mayonnaise: Combine to create the creamy base for the pickle dip. It's important to allow the cream cheese to soften to room temperature before combining the ingredients to reduce chunks.
Ranch: Dry Ranch powder is mixed into the dip for seasoning. I love dipping fried pickles into ranch and this gives us that ranch flavor we're seeking.
Garlic, Butter, and Panko Breadcrumbs: Garlic butter is combined with Panko Breadcrumbs for a crispy topping that sticks to the top of the creamy dip and gives it the "fried" taste.

Substitutions and Variations:
Want more spice? Double or triple the hot sauce.
Not big on garlic? Leave it out of the recipe.
I don't suggest using regular Italian breadcrumbs for this recipe. The Panko texture gives the dip a similar taste to the exterior of a fried pickle.
How to Make Fried Pickle Ranch Dip:
Step 1: Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium low heat. Add in the minced garlic and cook for 60 seconds. Pour in the Panko Breadcrumbs.
Step 2: Allow the breadcrumbs to toast into a golden brown color, stirring often to avoid burning. Once the panko is toasted, about 3 to 5 minutes, immediately transfer to a plate to stop the cooking process. Set aside.
Step 3: Add the cream cheese to a stand mixer or large bowl with hand mixer. Beat on medium speed until smooth. Add in the mayonnaise and sour cream and combine on low speed. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed. Toss in the pickle, garlic powder, ranch powder, hot sauce, fresh dill, salt and pepper.
Step 4: Mix ingredients together on low speed. Cover with plastic wrap and store in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Step 5: Add the pickle dip to a bowl and top with panko breading. Serve with chips, pretzels, carrots, or celery and enjoy!
Expert Tips:
- The biggest tip is to make sure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature before starting the recipe. Also, whip it really well with the mixer before adding the other ingredients.
- Really keep a close eye on the panko breading. It takes a minute to start to brown, but it will burn quick.

Recipe FAQs:
Dill pickle dip is a creamy base usually made up of sour cream and cream cheese. It's combined with chopped pickles and fresh dill. This recipe uses a panko topping to give it a fried pickle taste.
Look for sturdy classic chips that won't fall apart when dipping or pretzels. Carrots, celery and bell peppers cut into sticks taste amazing for dipping.
Store the creamy portion of the pickle dip in a container in the fridge. I suggest storing the panko topping in it's own container or ziplock bag and topping the dip when serving. This way, the topping stays crisp. Eat within 3 days.
