Description

This Jalapeño Pimento Cheese Recipe is so delicious and only uses 5 ingredients plus some spices. It's an Old Fashioned Southern Classic and takes just 10 minutes to prep with no cooking required. An absolute must try cheese spread!


Ingredients

  • 1 jalapeño, minced (seeds, stem and membranes removed)
  • 8 ounce block of sharp or extra sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened for 30 minutes at room temperature
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons jarred pimentos
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper


Instructions

  1. Allow the cream cheese to soften on the countertop for 20 minutes prior to starting the recipe. Grate the cheddar cheese on the larger section of the cheese grater. Mince the jalapeño and make sure to wear gloves or wash your hands well after.
  2. Add the cheddar cheese, jalapeño, pimentos, mayonnaise, cream cheese, and spices into the stand mixer bowl, or use a large bowl with hand mixer.
  3. Using the beater attachment, combine on medium low speed for a few minutes until fully combined. Place covered with plastic wrap in the fridge for 30 minutes or up to overnight.
  4. Serve and enjoy with crackers, veggies and more! 

Notes

  • Shred the cheddar cheese, instead of buying pre-shredded for the best taste. 
  • Allow the cream cheese to soften on the countertop for 20-30 minutes prior to starting the recipe, to make it easier to blend into the other ingredients.
