Ingredients
Scale
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1 heaping tablespoon dijon mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 3 tablespoons salted butter
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 teaspoons parsley, minced
- 8 ounce Pillsbury Original Crescent Rolls
- 8 slices deli ham, about 1/2 lb
- 8 slices deli Swiss cheese, about 1/2 lb.
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, dijon mustard, and salt and pepper and stir to combine. Set aside.
- Melt the butter in a skillet over low heat. Toss in the garlic and sauté for about 60-90 seconds. Transfer into a bowl. Note: Don't toast the garlic too much because it will continue to brown in the oven on top of the rolls.
- Stir the parsley into the garlic butter mixture.
- Assembly: (1) Prepare a cookie sheet and open the can of crescent rolls. Separate them into 8 pieces, by tearing at the perforations, and place onto the cookie sheet. (2) Spread a few teaspoons of dijon mayo mixture onto each of the wider portions of the triangle dough. (3) Roll up a slice of ham and lay it over the dijon spread. Then, roll the cheese slice up and lay over the ham. (4) Starting from the large portion of the crescent with ham and cheese, grab under the crescent and roll it over and over once more, creating a tightly rolled dough stuffed with ham, cheese and sauce.
- Arrange the ham and cheese crescents on the cookie sheet so they're not touching, and face them with the cheese on top of the ham.
- Brush the garlic parsley butter over the top of each roll. Bake for 12-13 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
- Serve with the remaining dijon mustard and mayo spread for dipping or spreading and enjoy!
Notes
- Use deli cheese instead of shredded cheese because it melts slower and won't all leak out of the rolls.
- Don't overcook the garlic in the butter, because it will continue to cook in the oven. If it looks a bit overcooked already, brush it on quickly halfway through baking so it doesn't burn and get bitter.
- Only cook the rolls for 13 minutes max.
