Description
This Same Day Pizza Dough is so simple to make and you can whip it up in just 60 minutes. Only a short rise time is necessary with this dough, so skip the take out and make this simple pizza crust instead!
Ingredients
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water (between 95 and 100 degrees)
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 and 1/2 cups all purpose flour, plus a handful for kneading and stretching dough
- 2 teaspoons sea salt
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoons olive oil
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Into the Stand Mixer equipped with dough hook, add in hot water, yeast and sugar.
2. Allow the mixture to bubble/ foam up. This takes about 10 minutes.
3. In a bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Pour the flour/salt mixture into the stand mixer and mix on low speed until a ball forms. It should happen between 3 to 4 minutes.
4. Add in olive oil and mix on low speed.
5. Place onto a floured surface and knead the dough for two to three minutes. Place the dough in an oiled bowl and cover with a tea towel for 30 minutes to allow it to rise a bit.
6. Stretch out the dough on the floured surface.
7. Add the pizza dough onto a pizza stone or baking sheet and top with all the toppings you love. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes. Allow it to cool and enjoy!
