Description

This Chicken Taco Seasoning Recipe is so easy to make at home in a few minutes! Skip the preservatives in the taco packet and make your own homemade taco seasoning. It only combines seven common spices!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Into a bowl or jar, add in chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, oregano, salt and pepper.
  2. Stir together or shake until fully combined.
  3. Enjoy this seasoning on chicken tacos, sautéed chicken breast & more!

Notes

This Mexican spice blend goes really well with lime flavor. For an easy marinade, combine it with a tablespoon of olive oil with the juice from 1 lime & marinate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Pair this seasoning with ground beef, ground chicken, ground turkey, chicken breast or thighs, flank steak, or skirt steak! It's honestly great for any kind of tacos or fajitas.
