Ingredients
Scale
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 8-10 slices of deli turkey, sliced thin (I prefer oven roasted)
- 4 ounces of cream cheese, softened to room temperature
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/3 cup yellow onion, finely diced
- 1/3 cup red bell pepper, finely diced
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Into a large bowl, add in the cream cheese and spices and stir to combine.
- Spread a few tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture on one side of each flour tortilla.
- Top with a few slices of turkey breast, then sprinkle with cheese, peppers and onions. Do not overfill or it will be difficult to roll up.
- Tightly roll up each tortilla with plastic wrap to secure each roll up. Place in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, up to overnight.
- Cut off both ends (about 1 to 2 inches) of the turkey roll ups, so it is a perfect log shape.
- Using a sharp knife, slice every 1.5 inches to create each pinwheel. *Note: Try not to push down to avoid flattening.
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes
- Allow the cream cheese to soften on the countertop for at least 30 minutes before starting the recipe. This will make the spices mix in better and it won't rip the tortilla when spreading it on.
- When wrapping the tortillas up, use a bit of the cream cheese spread to seal the inside edge of the tortilla.
- Wrap the plastic wrap as tight as possible to keep the roll ups together.
- Use a sharp knife to slice the roll ups into pinwheels. This will help keep them together without having to press down.
