Ingredients for Turkey Roll Ups:
Flour Tortillas-Create the roll up and are really pliable, which makes them great for this recipe. I use large flour tortillas, but not as large as a burrito.
Turkey Breast- Deli lunchmeat, sliced thin stays really flat to the tortilla shell for an easy roll up. I used Oven Roasted Turkey Breast in this recipe, but you can choose any of your favorite turkey flavors.
Cream Cheese-Combines with a homemade taco seasoning for the most delicious, creamy spread. Make sure it's softened at room temperature to make it smear easy on the tortilla.
Cheddar Cheese- Pairs fantastic with the cream cheese and taco seasoning for the best flavor.
Onion and Bell Peppers- Bring in a crisp freshness and crunch to this recipe.
See recipe card below for a full list of ingredients and measurements.
Substitutions and Variations:
Not big on turkey breast? You can use any of your favorite deli meats in this recipe. Try chicken breast, ham, pepperoni or salami.
Making it for the kids? Leave out the onions and bell pepper, if they're not big on those veggies.
For the seasoning, you can substitute a tablespoon of taco seasoning instead of the mixture of spices.
The Cheddar cheese can be substituted with a variety of cheeses, like pepper jack, mozzarella, Colby cheese, etc. I do recommend shredding your own from the block for a better, fresher taste. If you're short on time, you can use a bagged, shredded mix.
Other wrap flavors can be used for this recipe, like spinach or tomato basil.

How to Make Turkey and Cheese Roll Ups:
Step 1: Into a large bowl, add in the cream cheese and spices and stir to combine.
Step 2: Spread a few tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture on one side of each flour tortilla.
Step 3: Top with a few slices of turkey breast, then sprinkle with cheese, peppers and onions. Do not overfill or it will be difficult to roll up.
Step 4: Tightly roll up each tortilla with plastic wrap to secure each roll up. Place in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, up to overnight.
Step 5: Cut off both ends (about 1 to 2 inches) of the turkey roll ups, so it is a perfect log shape.
Step 6: Using a sharp knife, slice every 1.5 inches to create each pinwheel.
Step 7: Serve and enjoy!
Expert Tips for the Recipe:
- Allow the cream cheese to soften on the countertop for at least 30 minutes before starting the recipe. This will make the spices mix in better and it won't rip the tortilla when spreading it on.
- When wrapping the tortillas up, use a bit of the cream cheese spread to seal the inside edge of the tortilla.
- Wrap the plastic wrap as tight as possible to keep the roll ups together.
- Use a sharp knife to slice the tortillas into pinwheels. This will help keep them together without having to press down.
