Description

This Ham and Cheese Wrap is the most delicious lunch and you can eat them cold or hot! These Ham Wraps are so easy to whip up in minutes, with cheese, lettuce and an easy dijonnaise sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • (2) 8-10 inch flour tortillas
  • 6 slices deli ham, I prefer Boar's Head Maple or Black Forest Ham
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 lettuce leaves from iceberg or romaine hearts, washed and dried
  • 1 tablespoon salted butter, only for hot version

Instructions

  1. Into a small bowl add in mayonnaise, dijon mustard, salt and pepper and stir to combine.
  2. Spread a spoonful onto the inner surface of each flour tortilla.
  3. Top the mayonnaise spread with three pieces of ham, about 1/4 cup of cheddar cheese and lettuce. Repeat with the other wrap.
  4. Fold the two ends in and roll into a burrito shape. Slice in half and enjoy if eating cold. For the hot version, continue to the next step.
  5. Into a medium sized skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and allow it to warm up for two minutes. Place the wrap open seam side down into the skillet and cover with lid. Cook for 2 minutes, then flip and cook for another 2 minutes covered.
  6. Slice in half then serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • If making the hot version, cover the pan for a bit while toasting to warm the inside of the wrap.
  • Don't let the butter burn too much in the pan or it will have a bitter taste.
