- Easy to Make. These wraps only combine a few ingredients and are super simple.
- Quick. They only take 5 minutes for the cold version and 10 minutes for the hot and toasty ham and cheese wrap.
- A Kid Favorite. The kiddos love these in their lunch. You can add and take off any toppings they're not big on.

Ingredients 🌯:
Flour Tortillas: Flour tortillas are usually cheaper than buying wraps and they work great for this recipe. I like using the soft taco sized shell, which is usually 8 inches. The fajita size, 6 inch, or burrito, 10 inch are fine too. I wouldn't go smaller than a fajita size or they will be tricky to roll up.
Cheese: Cheddar Cheese is shredded and sprinkled over the ham in these wraps for an excellent flavor match up.
Lettuce: For a fresh crunch. I like using romaine hearts or iceberg for their texture.
Dijon Mustard, Mayonnaise, Salt and Pepper: Combine to make a creamy tangy sauce that spreads onto the wraps and adds lot of flavor.
Butter: Used only for the hot sandwiches and gives the tortilla a buttery crunch.
See the recipe card below for the full list of ingredients and quantities.
Substitutions and Variations:
- Substitute the cheddar cheese with a slice of Swiss cheese or pepper jack.
- Not big on mayo? Substitute the dijon mayonnaise sauce with ranch or leave the sauce off. You could also try my Chipotle Lime Sauce, with smoky heat.
- Add pickles or red onion for some extra flavor and crunch.
- The flour tortilla can easily be substituted with a flavored wrap like tomato basil, spinach or the low carb versions.

How to Make Ham and Cheese Wraps:
Step 1: Into a small bowl add in mayonnaise, dijon mustard, salt and pepper and stir to combine.
Step 2: Spread a spoonful of sauce onto the inner surface of each flour tortilla.
Step 3: Top the mayonnaise spread with three pieces of ham, about ¼ cup of cheddar cheese and lettuce. Repeat with the other wrap.
Step 4: Fold the two ends in and roll into a burrito shape. Slice in half and enjoy if eating cold. For the hot version, continue to the next step.
Step 5: Into a medium sized skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and allow it to warm up for two minutes. Place the wrap open seam side down into the skillet and cover with lid. Cook for 2 minutes, then flip and cook for another 2 minutes covered.
Step 6: Slice in half then serve and enjoy!
Chef Tips:
- If making the hot version, cover the pan for a bit while toasting to warm the inside of the wrap.
- Don't let the butter burn too much in the pan or it will have a bitter taste.

Recipe FAQs:
Yes! Just make sure the lettuce is extremely dry before prepping. The sauce for this recipe is on the thicker side and it shouldn't get soggy.
