What I look for in a Dutch Oven:
- I prefer an enameled dutch oven versus cast iron, because I don't want to deal with rust if I wash it and forget to completely dry it. It may sound silly, but I get lazy and forgetful after dinner ๐ฅฑ
- A 6 qt or bigger is best because I do large batch soup recipes and one pot meals and I don't want to be overflowing the pot.
- I always buy circle dutch ovens versus oval, because I do mostly stovetop recipes with them and feel like the heat distribution is better. If you're planning to do a lot of oven recipes, oval is a great choice.
