The Summer Sangria Recipe is the perfect light and crisp Summer drink. It is an excellent recipe to serve out of a pitcher for a party.
For those who love red wine, I am so sorry..please forgive me for this is a fruity white wine spritzer, but oh, it is so delicious! It is perfect for 4th of July weekend because of the red, white and blue, but who am I kidding, you can have it anytime!
Time to make it: 10 minutes to prep, plus overnight in the fridge
Servings: 4-5 wine glasses full
Ingredients for this Summer Sangria Recipe:
- 1 package each of strawberries (sliced), blueberries and raspberries
- 1 bottle of white wine (You can use anything you like here..I like sweeter, so I went with a Pinot Grigio, but you can use Chardonnay or so even sweeter with a Moscato)
- 1 bottle of Prosecco
- 2 liter bottle of 7 up (Optional) If you decide not to use it, the recipe will be more like 3 to 4 servings.
- Large wine glasses
- Ice
How to Make it:
Add the berries to a large pitcher and fill with white wine. Allow this to set overnight in the fridge to allow all the flavors to fall in love with one another.
Fill your wine glasses ⅓ full with ice, now add some of the fruit from the Sangria that sat overnight. Fill the glass halfway with Sangria.
Top with Prosecco & 7 up (optional). You can use as much of these as you would like. I did a little of both, but if you don’t like sweet, go with just Prosecco.
Enjoy with friends!
