I could not believe the amazing smell coming out of this pot. I had the same batch simmering on the stovetop for two days and it was still fragrant!
You'll get scents of cranberry, oranges, and cinnamon, which is exactly what I want to smell over the holidays.

Why You'll Love This Recipe:
- No Chemicals. This is the most natural way to get the house smelling amazing.
- Easy to Make. Only 2 minutes to prep, then pop it on the stovetop.
- Long Lasting. I let this simmer for 2 full days on the stovetop and it still smelled wonderful.
- A Holiday Favorite. The scent is perfect for Christmas time!
Ingredients:

Fresh Cranberries: A must for this recipe and pairs perfectly with the fresh oranges and cinnamon.
Cinnamon: I like using the sticks because they smell the strongest.
Fresh Oranges: I love using a fresh orange so I can slice some of the peel off for a stronger scent.

Substitutions and Variations:
- If you don't have apple cider, you could use juice or try just water.
How to Make a Christmas Simmer Pot:

Step 1: Prepare a pot or Dutch Oven. Slice some pieces of the peel off the orange and add it into the pot, along with the cranberries, rosemary, and cinnamon sticks. Slice the remaining oranges and add in. Pour in apple cider and water and stir.

Step 2: Place the pot on low heat on the stovetop. Cook for a few hours, or up to 2 days, making sure to turn the stove off if you leave the house or while you're sleeping.

Step 3: Get ready for some incredibly cozy smells. I love making this when we decorate for Christmas, on holiday parties, and all day on Christmas.
Expert Tips:
- If you peel some of the skin off the orange, it's even more fragrant in the pot.
- Want to use it for two days? Turn the burner off at night and re-start it in the morning.
- Hosting? Start it a few hours before company gets there to get things smelling really good!
A Fun Homemade Gift:
Prep these in mason jars with pretty ribbons and give them out for Christmas gifts! I would keep them in the fridge with the apple cider or skip the cider and just package with water.
