These Halloween Dirt Pudding Cups will make you a star of any kid's Halloween party. They are so easy to make and so tasty. Just like my Pumpkin Rice Krispies, it's a great recipe to make with the kiddos.
I made these yesterday and my 7 year old's head was spinning from excitement. Even my 12 year old acted like it was the best day of her life. They really are the funnest Halloween treat!
I like Halloween, but mostly for fun little kid's treats & trick or treating. I am the biggest baby when it comes to scary and I pray that my kids never like scary movies or I am doomed.
If you need a quick and easy dinner before trick or treating, try my Dutch Oven Chili paired with these Southern Corn Bread Muffins.

Recipe FAQs:
Dirt pudding is two layers. One made from oreo crumbles. The other layer is chocolate pudding mixed with cool whip. It's basically a kid's dream dessert. Add a gummy worm on top and you are in business!
For a thick instant pudding, I like to use whole milk. It thickens up really good and super fast too!
They taste best served within a few hours after they are made. If you try to make them way ahead of time, the oreo layer will not be as fresh and the cookies could get soggy.
Storing:
Store in the refrigerator until serving time and use up the same day or the oreos get a bit soggy.
