Ingredients:
Chipotle in Adobo Sauce-For the spicy kick and smoky chipotle flavors. I like the Goya brand, and it can be found in the international isle of most grocery stores. If you love Chipotle flavor, try my Chipotle Chicken Sandwich with homemade Chipotle Mayo.
Greek Yogurt-The base of the dressing and adds a tangy taste and creamy texture. It's also high in protein and low in calories.
Southwest Seasoning- This is my homemade blend of Southwest Seasoning, which is so easy to make, but you can also use a store-bought blend of Southwest Seasoning. It brings in so much flavor to this dressing.
Mayonnaise- Adds fat to the dressing and makes the texture just right.
Lime- For a citrus taste and pairs incredibly well with southwest heat.
Water-Used to turn sauce into a more pourable dressing.

Substitutions and Variations:
If you're worried about spice, just use ½ of a chipotle in adobo sauce and try not to add in the seeds or you can even add in just a ½ teaspoon of the adobo sauce into the dressing at a time until you get the right taste.
Instead of greek yogurt, you can use sour cream.
Want to cut out the fat, leaving out the mayo will give you a bit of a different texture, but it will still be good.
If you don't have an immersion blender, use a food processor or regular blender.

Here are the Step by Step Instructions for this Spicy Southwest Dressing.
Step 1: Add the mayonnaise, greek yogurt, chipotle, southwest seasoning and lime juice into the immersion blender cup.
Step 2: Immersion blend until completely smooth. Pour in a tablespoon of water to make the dressing more pourable. Continue to add a tablespoon at a time until you get the desired texture.
Step 3: For the best results, refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving on your favorite salads. Enjoy!
Expert Tips:
- Add a tablespoon of water at a time until you reach the desired consistency. I added 3 tablespoons total. If you add them all at once and it gets too watery, that's more difficult to work with. However, if it happens, just add in a few tablespoons of greek yogurt to even it out.

Yes. For less spice, use half of a chipotle pepper in adobo sauce without seeds, or just use a ½ teaspoon of adobo sauce until you get the right taste. You can always add in more chipotle or adobo sauce at the end if it's not spicy enough.
