This frozen oat milk latte is absolutely delicious. By about May, I get sick of hot coffee in these long Southern Summers, so I decided to try my usual hot coffee ingredients, but frozen.
Why You'll Love This Recipe:
- It's frozen and perfect for Summer
- The recipe calls for oat milk, which is so creamy and delicious
- It only takes a few minutes to make
- There are no preservatives or artificial flavors in this recipe
Oat Milk- For a creamy texture
Honey- Creates the ideal sweetness *Use local honey if you can for allergies and to support local beekeepers.
Cinnamon- For a delicious addition and incredible scent
Coffee- The key ingredient to keep me from losing my mind on the daily. I love a darker roast for this recipe.
You also need an ice cube tray and blender.
How to make this Iced Honey Oat Milk Latte:
Pour cooled coffee (about 2 cups) into empty ice cube tray and freeze overnight.
Into your blender, add 6 larger coffee ice cubes or 8 to 10 regular ice cubes. Add the oat milk, honey & cinnamon.
Blend & Enjoy! Feel free to top with whipped cream and a dash of cinnamon if you are feeling extra or need to impress someone:)
It is so good! Oat milk is creamy and thick, which makes it the perfect texture and the reason I drink oat milk lattes every morning at home.
If you prefer regular dairy milk, I would use a higher fat content like whole milk for the creamy texture. Almond milk is thin and creates a really watery version, so it isn't my first choice.
I find this step really helps to not create a watered down latte. However, if you don't have the time, mix 1 cup of ice with 2 cups of room temp or chilled coffee. Add more ice if desired.
