This Spicy Honey Mustard is absolutely delicious! It's so simple to make and uses easy ingredients you probably already have in your fridge & pantry!

Honey Mustard is one of my favorite dressings, probably to the point I could bathe in it. Just kidding, that would be very sticky. This dressing recipe can be made the original sweet way, without adding the mikes hot honey, but it is delicious with a kick of heat. You gotta try it! I especially love it on a salad containing bacon.

Try this honey mustard on my Crispy Chicken Recipe! If you love homemade salad dressing, be sure to make my Creamy Balsamic Dressing too.

Ingredients for Spicy Honey Mustard:

Dijon Mustard- Deeper, more intense flavor than regular yellow mustard & a must for this recipe

Mayonnaise- Adds a creamy, richness to the dressing

Regular Honey- For sweetness

Mike's Hot Honey- For the kick of spice (This is really spicy when tasting, but I promise it tones down from the other ingredients)

Sweet Paprika- For added peppery flavor. *Do NOT use smoked paprika here. It has a different profile that doesn't fit well in this recipe*

Lemon Juice: For a bite or tanginess, much like vinegar would add.

How spicy is this dressing?

I like to start by adding just a teaspoon of Mike's Hot Honey, then tasting it & adding a little bit more. 1 tablespoon of Mike's Hot Honey will pack some serious heat, so be careful. Everyone has a different idea of what spicy is, so start small and build up.

Can I save in the fridge?

Yes! I recommend making double, triple or quadruple the recipe and storing in a jar in the fridge for other recipes. If stored in a sealed container, this will be good and fresh for a week. Some may say longer, but I tend to be extremely safe with food.

Hate Spicy, but love Honey Mustard?

That's ok! Leave out the Mike's Hot Honey. The recipe is amazing still without the heat.

In a medium sized bowl, add in all of the ingredients and whisk together very well until blended completely. If you don't want it super spicy, try starting out with just a teaspoon of Mike's Hot Honey, and add more in as desired.

Everyone has a different level of love for spice.

Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Serve with your favorite salad or chicken tenders. Try this Shaved Brussel Sprout Salad, which is perfect with this honey mustard recipe.

Description

This Spicy Honey Mustard is absolutely delicious! It's so simple to make and uses easy ingredients you probably already have in your fridge & pantry!

Ingredients

Scale
  • ⅛ cup dijon mustard
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise (I use Hellmans)
  • 3 tablespoons regular honey
  • 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon Mike's Hot Honey (see note below)
  • ⅛ teaspoon sweet paprika
  • ½ teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. In a medium sized bowl, add in all of the ingredients and whisk together very well until blended completely.
  2. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

If you don't want super spicy, try starting with just a teaspoon of Mike's Hot Honey, and add more in as desired.

This makes a little over ¼ cup of dressing. If you love honey mustard, consider doubling, or quadrupling. You can always save the extras.
