French Bread- The ideal bread for garlic bread and toasts to perfection in the air fryer.

Mayonnaise- Adds a creamy thickness to the garlic butter paste and allows for a decadent creamy toast. People will wonder how you managed to make the toast so creamy, and don't feel obligated to tell them. They will be weird about the mayo, but it's the secret ingredient that puts these over the top.
Parmesan Cheese- For a nutty flavor that is subtle and delicious. You need the good parmesan reggiano here. If you substitute it for the powdered stuff, it won't be the same.
Chives- Adds a pop of color and flavor.

If you are looking for garlic bread without the cheese, just leave it out.
Not a big fan of parmigiano reggiano? Pecorino Romano is delicious too and so is cheddar cheese.
Other types of bread work as well. I used French bread in the recipe, but an Italian round or Sourdough will be equally as yummy!
How to Make Garlic Bread in Air Fryer:
Step 1: Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees (this is the default air fryer temperature). Cut the french bread into roughly 1 inch slices.
Step 2: Melt the butter in a small sauce pan on medium low heat and add the garlic for 30 seconds. Pour into a bowl and allow to cool for a few minutes.
Step 3: Add the mayonnaise, warm butter and garlic, cheese, chives and a dash of salt and pepper to a medium bowl and stir until combined.
Step 4: Spread a small spoonful of the garlic mixture onto each top of the french bread slices. Place half of the garlic bread into the air fryer in one single layer. Air fry for 4 minutes.
Step 5: Carefully transfer onto a serving plate and cook the next batch.
Step 6: Serve and enjoy!

- Allow the butter to cool for a few minutes before combining with the mayonnaise. This will keep it more like a spread versus a liquid, which will soak into the bread.
