It's Winter still, but I am 100% channeling Spring and Summer vibes with this delicious seasonal lemonade recipe with freshly squeezed lemons. This recipe is perfect for serving on a chill summer day, or for a party or brunch. It is always a crowd favorite!
In this recipe, we are using my homemade Lavender Simple Syrup, which is super easy to create with dried culinary lavender, water and sugar, or you can buy store bought Lavender Syrup.

Ingredients:
Lavender Syrup- Brings in the perfect floral notes & sweetness that elevate the flavor
Lemon French Soda or Lemon Perrier/ La Croix- Adds the sparkle & bubble to the lemonade
Freshly Squeezed Lemon- Essential for Lemonade
Simply Lemonade- This is an optional ingredient to add more lemonade flavor & sweetness.
Substitutions for the Recipe:
This recipe is not very sweet. If you like very sweet lemonade or if you are serving to kids, I would substitute Simply Lemonade for most or all of the french soda. My oldest loves the recipe as is, but my 6 year old who hates anything bubbly, gets lemonade in replacement of the french soda. She goes wild over this recipe with the lemonade. It is really just personal preference.

If you are making the homemade Lavender Simple Syrup Recipe, which I recommend, make it first. You will need Dried Culinary Lavender, Water and Sugar. This recipe is fantastic and stays good in the fridge for two weeks. It is free from preservatives & you can use it for lattes, lemonades, and cocktails.
Begin by filling two large glasses ¾ full with ice.
Add in 1 ounce of lavender simple syrup to each glass. Add in juice from ¼ lemon into each glass.
Top with Lemon French Soda (mine is from World Market) and stir. *Replace some or all of the Lemon French Soda with Simply Lemonade if you want it sweet*
Serve with a lemon wedge on the glass and a straw. Now, relax and enjoy the warm weather with that lemonade in hand!
Recipe FAQs:
Homemade lavender simple syrup actually has more of a yellow tint. The store bought version may be purple if you choose one that has food coloring in it. I don't like to add artificial coloring unless it's necessary, but you certainly have that option.
The recipe is not very sweet, but incredibly refreshing. If you want it sweeter, substitute all or most of the French lemon soda with Simply Lemonade.
The French Soda will go flat. This recipe works best to make it right before serving.
