Ingredients for Mango Pineapple Smoothie

Fresh Pineapple- Tangy fruit that hits peak season between March and July. In these months, you will find the juiciest flavored pineapples.

Mango- Delicious sweet fruit, with a hint of sour. This recipe uses frozen mango to give the smoothie a frozen texture.

Milk- For a protein addition and to add creaminess to the smoothie.

Greek Yogurt- For additional protein and to bring a creamy, tangy flavor to the recipe.

Honey- Brings in a delicious sweetness & supports beekeepers (Always shop local honey to support local beekeepers and it helps with allergies-a win win)

Frequently Asked Questions About The Recipe:

Can I make it dairy free?

Of course! Substitute the milk with oat milk for a creamy texture. Almond or Coconut milk works too but won't be as creamy. Substitute the greek yogurt for a dairy free alternative, or remove it completely. If removed, you may need to add ice.

Does Mango go well with Pineapple?

Absolutely!!! Mango and Pineapple together creates the perfect sweet and tart flavor combination for smoothies or mixed drinks.

Are Pineapple Smoothies Healthy?

Pineapple is very healthy and is great for inflammation. An article from Healthline discusses the health benefits of pineapple and explains that the fruit has nutrients, antioxidants and enzymes that fight inflammation.

Popular Additions and Substitutions:

For some added flavor, try adding in half a banana or some frozen slices. For additional nutrients add in a few teaspoons of chia seeds or flax seeds.

If you are dairy free, swap out the greek yogurt for a dairy free alternative and use oat milk instead of regular milk. Oat milk will give you a beautiful, creamy consistency that will not disappoint.
