The Protein Struggle:
I hear it all the time, people complaining about having to think too much about protein, and how hard it is to meet their protein goals.
To battle this struggle, make your protein goals attainable. I like to try for about 90 grams of protein per day, and I feel like it's pretty easy to meet with 3 meals and snacks. If I don't get it, I just work harder the next day.
Choose high protein options like greek yogurt, nuts, beans, chicken, fish, steak, and you'll be reaching those goals in no time!
Why is Protein Important?
- Protein has a lot of benefits. If you're trying to lose weight, it can help you stay full for longer, so you're not constantly snacking or starving.
- For those of us trying to build muscle, it helps with growth. It also repairs tissues in the body, strengthens the immune system and much more.
- Personally, I've noticed more energy and my 3 p.m. crash is gone from fueling up on more protein and this whole time I thought it was caffeine related.
