Beef Brisket is a popular cut of meat to cook in the smoker, and goes perfectly with side dishes that you would pair with typical barbecued meats, like smoked pulled pork or pulled bbq chicken. Get inspired with these best 10 sides for Beef Brisket!
Beef Brisket is a large cut of meat, that is on the tougher side, which requires cooking low and slow on the smoker until it reaches a temperature of around 195-205 degrees. Then, the brisket rests and is later cut into slices for serving.
My favorite way to eat brisket is either on a bbq plate with tons of sides, or loaded with coleslaw on a dinner roll or buttery brioche bun. Either way, we gotta have the classic bbq sides, so let's get started.
Top 10 Sides for Brisket:
1. Coleslaw
This Coleslaw for Pulled Pork is great with Brisket and is a must make! It only takes 5 minutes to prep and uses a bagged coleslaw mix, so we don't have to shred a ton of cabbage.
We throw away the pre-made sauce from the bag and make our own with just a few ingredients. It's creamy, crunchy and tangy! Add it to the side of the brisket or top it on a brisket sandwich with bbq sauce.
2. Baked Beans
While you can use the basic canned beans, I highly recommend this flavor loaded Baked Beans with Ground Beef. It's double the protein and big on taste!
3. Macaroni and Cheese
When it comes to Southern side dishes, Macaroni and Cheese is a must! This White Cheddar Mac and Cheese is a stovetop recipe that is so cheesy and creamy. Plus, it's ready in less than 30 minutes.

This Dill Pickle Potato Salad is a family recipe that I've added a few extra ingredients into, to make it extra tasty. It's one of my more time consuming recipes, but it's so good and totally worth it. Plus, it makes a big batch for a party or you'll have lots of leftovers.

If you're already smoking the brisket, why not smoke some vegetables too? These Smoked Vegetables have a subtle smoky flavor with lots of spices and are cooked until tender, and they take minutes to prep for the smoker.

Expert Tips:
- Prep Ahead. If you know you have a party, consider making side dishes for Brisket that can be prepped the day ahead, like coleslaw (1) and potato salad (4). This will make it much easier on party day.
- Choose Other Smoker Recipes. For less kitchen mess, use the smoker for sides, like these Smoked Vegetables (5) or Baked Potatoes (10). The brisket will have to rest and those two items take about an hour to make.
